MIPS, utvecklat i Sverige, följer tanken att skydda den mänskliga hjärnan från rotationsrörelser vid en olycka. För detta ändamål har Uvex Exxential III MIPS en rörlig andra skal monterad mellan det inre foderet och den yttre skalet i hjälmen, som vilar direkt på huvudet och kan justeras i höjd och bredd för en optimal passform. The safety plus: in the event of an impact after a fall at an angle, the resulting rotational force is not transferred to the head, but is dissipated by the movement of the MIPS inner shell. In addition, the ergonomic helmet design with a low-cut helmet shell at the back of the head guarantees additional impact protection. Particularly clever: the ponytail cut, which makes wearing the helmet with long hair even more comfortable.
