Colostrum replacement for newborn foals
Nyfödda föl har ännu inga egna antikroppar som skyddar dem mot infektioner. Dessa produceras bara i tillräckliga mängder efter cirka 3 till 5 veckor. Fram till dess är fölet beroende av antikroppar som erhålls från råmjölk (första mjölken).
Om stoet inte producerar någon råmjölk eller en otillräcklig mängd är det viktigt att agera snabbt. Antikroppar kan bara passera genom tarmväggen under det första dygnet efter födseln. Absorptionen är mycket effektiv under de första 12 timmarna, men efter 24 timmar kan fölet absorbera väldigt få antikroppar.
Pavo Colostrum har utvecklats speciellt för att ge stöd i situationer där ett föl inte får tillräckligt med råmjölk från sin moder.

Användningsinstruktion:
If the foal refuses the colostrum, you can stimulate its appetite by spreading a little sugar on its tongue. Do not force the foal to eat by bending its head backwards. The foal will not be able to swallow well and there is a risk of milk getting into the lungs. Do not give more than 500 ml of Colostrum per hour. Too much intake can lead to intestinal disorders. Pay attention to hygiene. Prepare the milk with clean hands and rinse the teat, bottle and drinking cups well after use.
